CHEVY CHASE, D.C. HOME
This Chevy Chase, DC couple dedicated themselves to creating an environment that is serene and light-filled. Once the furniture and floor plans were complete, it was time to expand their existing art collection. The clients searched New York galleries but were not successful. They soon learned that the Washington, D.C. area is home to many talented, established and emerging artists.
Pamela Frederick worked with the clients to research DC art galleries and artists’ studios to find just the right pieces that would enhance their space and compliment the monochromatic palette of the furnishings and carpet. A challenge was the long rectangular wall in the living room. Rather than one large piece of artwork, it was decided that a series of three works on paper would resolve the problem and create a more interesting statement. The combination of works on paper, canvas and ceramic objects are abstract and contemporary.
Pamela Frederick and fine art installer, Craig Cahoon, worked together to properly place and install the artwork.
The artwork came from the Adah Rose Gallery, Susan Callaway Fine Arts,
Cross-MacKenzie Gallery and Reyes+Davis.
