COLUMBIA HEIGHTS VICTORIAN HOUSE
The 1910 four-story Victorian home, located in Columbia Heights, underwent a total transformation. The home was completely gutted, raised, and then renovated. The Pflasterer residence is now a blend of modern details and updated classic architecture. We collaborated with the client, Steve Pflasterer, to integrate his existing collection of family heirlooms, turn of the century paintings, and African art into his new space.
Pamela Frederick introduced contemporary artwork into the living and dining room areas. We worked with Washington D.C. galleries and studios to acquire paintings and sculpture. The center piece of the living room is the hand-wrought painted wood sculpture adjacent to the fireplace. It was a commission by the DC artist, Drew Storm Graham.
Other works on canvas in the living room are paintings by Heather Day, Pam Frederick and Dan Treado.
